Espoo Car Museum – a lot to offer for your whole family
Espoo Car Museum introduces an exhibition of 100 cars and as many two wheeled vehicles, from bicycles to motorcycles. The museum is one of the largest motor-vehicle museums in Finland. The exhibition introduces a piece of Finnish automotive culture, from the vintage cars to the 50′s American’s, from microcars to the everyday vehicles.
Finland’s oldest Car Museum is located in an 1915 nostalgic grey stone stable, The Backby Manor. The two museum floors portray automobiles and automobilia for a period of a hundred years. The annual exhibitions presents a piece of Finnish traffic and automobile culture.
The museum arranges events for the public, for example, a traditional Mother’s day Swap Market in May and the moped ride through beautiful Espoo lakeside at the end of summer.
Espoo Car Museum is located on lovely countryside by lake Bodom. There is about a 30 minutes drive from the centre of Helsinki and just a few kilometers from Ring III -road.
You can enjoy your own picnic food or buy refreshments from museum`s kiosk.
